Beginning of the academic year

On September 14th class will start for Undergraduate students at La Salle Campus Barcelona - URL. The coming academic year 2015-2016 presents novelties: A new degree in animation & VFX and five new mentions in Engineering and Business. The Degree in Animation & VFX, will especially work on the foundations of art, design and the principles of anatomy, movement and acting will be learnt. Within this context, besides technology and management, there will be a strong creative and artistic component. The experience of the centre and the expertise of the teaching staff in the field of robotics have enabled the creation of the new Mention in Robotics in Electronic Systems Engineering. Robotics studies specializes in the world of robotics applied to multiple sectors and allows students to participate in real projects of technology transfer and robotics research with leading companies in the sector. Students of the Bachelor in Management of Business and Technology of La Salle-URL may also specialize in four new mentions: Digital Marketing, where students can learn how to work as specialists in Marketing, with a global and strategic vision, incorporating strategies and traditional means of online media. Digital Entrepreneurship, where the skills of an entrepreneur are developed to identify and evaluate new business opportunities with a global vision. Digital Economy: microeconomics, macroeconomics, theory of Organization and Administration, but with international and contemporary approach and Sports Management: where the students will be prepared to lead at national and international level, organizations, clubs, organizations and companies in the sports sector. There are also novelties in Masters and Postgraduates, which will start class on September 28th. Apart from the existing ones, this academic year it is important to mention the new Master in Big Data, the Master in Technology of Smart Cities & Smart Grids, the Master in Multimedia Creation and the Master of Science in Web Programming High Performance. Furthermore, new Online and English Architecture and Construction Masters have been launched with International Professional Accreditation and in collaboration with Heriot Watt University: Structural and Foundation Engineering - MSc, Architectural Engineering - MSc (Installations and energy efficiency); Quantity Surveying - MSc (Analysis of costs and viability) Construction and Project Management - MSc.
