Dell and Juniper overview

Hey folks! How you doing?

Today we are presenting the different solutions we mentioned in the last post that we will be using in our data center solution. We are going to use two different enterprises to cover this three main categories which divide our project.

 

DELL

Dell is an American privately owned multinational computer technology company founded in 1982. It develops, sells, repairs, and supports computers and related products and services. Dell's headquarters is located in Round Rock, Texas and it employs around 108.000 people.

Focusing on data center area, Dell provides agility and scalability to support the organization’s long-term strategy. Eliminates redundancy and unifies management. Also accelerates IT service delivery and reduces operation costs. This results in an increasing performance.

Dell provides to costumers:

  • Tower servers
  • Rack servers
  • Converged platforms

 

 

JUNIPER

Juniper is a 20 years old networking Enterprise, which provides its costumers products and solutions according to their necessities. It has its headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, and 2015 revenues ascent to a total of 4.8 billions USD.

Next, I will introduce what Juniper does in terms of networking and security, which is what our data center will be focused in:

 

Network

Juniper provides a wide variety of products in terms of networking. Juniper brings to its costumers de capability to view the need to do effective capacity planning, meet service-level agreements, and deal with rapidly increasing traffic growth.

To accomplish that, Juniper provides a big family of routers and switches, offering diverse requirements, specifications, characteristics and prices. In the following posts, we will cover and study each of them.

 

Security

Juniper provides a professional service which assists you with the planning and design of you very new network, and also provide a technical service who will be willing to help you with your technical problems.

Furthermore, Juniper provides high perfomance, scalable, and intelligent network security soluotins for enterprises and service providers.

As I have commented above, we will be focusing on network and secuirty devices. But this does not mean that they do not offer other products and services. This are the following:
