100TÍFIQUES CELEBRATES ITS FOURTH EDITION COINCIDING WITH THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE

“100tífiques” is an initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute for Science and Technology (BIST), in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This year has participated 500 schools and 400 scientific women.

In this third edition (10th February) the lecturer and researcher Dra. Miriam Calvo and PhD candidate Nuria Valls (members os Smart Society Research Grup), has participated in #100tífiques an inicitaive to motivate girls and boys of the Rose de Blanes and Jordi de Tortosa School to be interested in Research. Their talk was based on their trajectory in the LHCb experiment at CERN, devoted to particle physics. #WomenInScience

With this action want:

• Encourage the promotion of scientific and / or entrepreneurial vocations among girls.
• Promote the connection and interaction of scientists and citizens, structuring two-way actions.
• Promote links and collaborative dynamics between scientists in the public and private systems; and also with senior business executives and prescribers of public policies.
