La Salle-URL and Pal Robotics bring robotics closer to the young at Cosmocaixa Barcelona

La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL robotics professor, Dr. Jordi Albo, participated in four workshops this weekend, which bring children closer to robotics at  CosmoCaixa Barcelona, as a  part of the activities scheduled for the  Santa Eulalia Festivities. A biped robot from the Catalan company Pal Robotics was the main attraction. The humanoid robot called REEM-C was introduced in society this Thursday at an event where one of its creators, Francesco Ferro, explained that it is going to enable the development of new applications that will help to improve the lives of people. In the presentation of the robot (time illustrated in the picture accompanying this post), Dr. Jordi Albó underlined the progress in the field of robotics and stressed the applications of this robot in research but also at a commercial and business level.
