Two projects from La Salle won the Cooperation Day organized by Ramon Llull University
La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL received two awards for "Good Practices in University Cooperation for the Development" for their educational mission in the field of cooperation and development. The university won the first prize in the category of Actions for the Project Urubamba of Proide Foundation, developed by La Salle-URL. This diploma was picked up by Dr. Xavier Canaleta, one of the leaders of this knowledge transfer project. Additionally, an architectural project entitled "The public space at neighborhood scale" Medellin (Colombia) won the first prize ex aequo in the postgraduate work category. This proposal by Isabel Correa, is focused on creating spaces of contact and urban renewal. In Isabel's absence, the diploma was picked up by Guillem Villa. The awards ceremony had place last Thursday, 27th February at Ramon Llull University's Rectorate, coinciding with the celebration of the X Cooperation Day, dedicated to India this year. The Cooperation Day is organized by the URL in the framework of the project Aristos Campus Mundus 2015 promoted by the universities Ramon Llull, Deusto and Comillas, which received the renewal of the quality seal from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in 2011. With this Day, the universities materialize their commitment to moving towards the excellence and quality of the teaching and research activitiesm, in order to share experiences and the processes they perform.
