Digital health, protagonist at the Health Revolution Congress

Professors of the Master in eHealth lead the debate in digital health.

During the Health Revolution Congress 2025, the “Brain Round Table: Digital Health in Action - Challenges and Opportunities in Clinical Practice” was held, a space that brought together leaders in oncology, neurology and ophthalmology to discuss how digital health is redefining clinical practice in complex neurological pathologies.

Digitization is no longer a future promise: it is a reality that is transforming the clinical approach to diseases such as lung cancer, multiple sclerosis and retinal disorders such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Diabetic Macular Edema (DME). Thanks to tools such as artificial intelligence, telemedicine and advanced use of clinical data, professionals are achieving:

  • Earlier and more accurate diagnoses.

  • More personalized treatments

  • More equitable and patient-centered care.

During the panel, pioneering initiatives were shared in:

  • Applied neuroscience: with innovative approaches to the monitoring and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Neurological eye health: where medical imaging and data analysis are improving early detection of visual pathologies with neurological origin.

  • Digital public policies: which promote the integration of technology in healthcare systems to improve efficiency and equity.

The session was moderated by Eva Aurín, Vice President of the Societat Catalana de Salut Digital, Innovation and Digital Health Expert at Telefónica and professor of the Master in eHealth at La Salle-URL, who stressed the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to accelerate the digital transformation in healthcare.

In addition, Eva Aurín highlighted the real need that healthcare professionals have for effective digital tools. However, she stressed that their incorporation must be done in an orderly and strategic manner, with the aim of generating a positive impact on clinical practice:

It's not about accumulating multiple applications, but rather betting on those that really add value, that can be effectively integrated into the electronic medical record and that respond to the real needs of professionals.”

Jesús Berdún, Operations Coordinator at the Digital Health Unit of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and teacher of the Master in eHealth, also participated in the congress, reinforcing the program's commitment to the current challenges of digital transformation in the healthcare field.

If you also want to be part of the change, the Master in eHealth of La Salle-URL offers you the key tools and knowledge to lead digital health projects with real impact.
