Lack of awareness of this acceleration could lead us to a dystopian future, characterized by challenges such as climate change, geostrategic tensions, energy crises, the fragility of democratic models and extreme automation with artificial intelligence.  

The next decade presents itself as a key period, where the future is envisioned as "complex", going beyond mere complication.

In this scenario, agilists assume a crucial responsibility to the future. Beyond simply implementing agile practices, they are urged to direct their efforts towards business models that are healthy for society and respectful of the environment.  

The idea of agility with conscience is promoted, where ethical values and principles become the guiding light for agilists' decisions and actions.  

Agility with conscience implies not only efficiency in development, but also dedication to business models that contribute positively to society and the environment.  

Agilists become agents of change, leading by example through their values and principles to forge a kinder, more sustainable world.  

Rather than simply pursuing speed in business, informed acceleration is advocated, with careful consideration of social and environmental impact. 

Agile with awareness: implementation  

There are a number of things organizations can do to implement agile with awareness. These include:  

• Embed ethical values and principles into the corporate culture: ethical values should be the guiding light for agilists' decisions and actions. This includes values such as sustainability, social justice and environmental responsibility.  
• Develop a shared vision for the future: Organizations should develop a shared vision for the future that is sustainable and beneficial to society. This will help align employees and ensure that agile efforts are used to achieve common goals.  
• Implement agile practices in a sustainable manner: Organizations should implement agile practices in a sustainable manner, ensuring that the health of employees or the environment is not compromised. This may include such things as limiting excessive work, encouraging work-life balance, and using sustainable technologies. 

The future of agility poses new challenges, but also opportunities  

Agilists have the opportunity to become architects of a more conscious future, embracing the responsibility to contribute to business models that respect ethical values and promote sustainability.
