GTM participates in the DYNAMAP's Final Conference held in Rome

The researchers of the GTM Rosa Maria Alsina, Francesc Alías and Joan Claudi Socoró attended last 6/06/19 the Final Conference of the Dynamap project, which was held in the city of Rome. The main results of this five-year LIFE project were presented, focusing on the design of a system to monitor road traffic noise in real time with the objective of creating dynamic noise maps in urban and suburban areas. Rosa Maria Alsina presented the contribution of the group: the design of the Anomalous Noise Event Detection Algorithm (ANED) that, using signal processing and machine learning techniques, allows to minimize the contribution of other  noise sources different from road traffic noise  (e.g. sirens, leisure, trains, meteorological, etc. ) in the generation of the dynamic acoustic maps.
