GTM participates in the “Vermut Sonor” at La Fabrica del Sol

Rosa Ma Alsina from the Signal Processing area of the Grup de recerca en Tecnologies Mèdia (GTM), participated in the “Vermut Sonor”, organized by La Fabrica del Sol in the framework of “La Setmana Sense Soroll 2019” last Saturday 27^th of April. The workshop, in which 20 people participated, consisted of a dynamic activity in which the participants asked their doubts about acoustic pollution to a panel of three experts: Dr Alsina from La Salle, with the focus on sound engineering and its identification, Dr. Foraster talking about health and noise and finally, Dr. Casas working with the relationship between architecture and sound in terms of design. The final objective was to resolve the doubts of the participants but using the dialogue to lead to a set of proposals for improving the quality of noise pollution in the city, both from an individual and community point of view.
