quantum Case-Based Reasoning (qCBR) in AIRE
Artificial Intelligence Review (AIRE) has published the new article by Dr. Parfait Atchadé together with Research Engineer Daniel Casado, Prof. Dr. Xavier Vilasís, Prof. Dr. Elisabet Golobardes entitled "quantum Case-Based Reasoning (qCBR)" which proposes the use of Quantum Computing to improve some of the key processes of CBR, so that a Quantum Case-Based Reasoning (qCBR) paradigm can be defined. The focus is on designing and implementing a qCBR based on the variational principle that improves its classical counterpart in terms of average accuracy, scalability, and overlap tolerance. A comparative study of the proposed qCBR with a classical CBR is carried out for the case of the Social Workers Problem as a sample of a combinatorial optimization problem with overlap. The quantum feasibility of the algorithm is modeled with docplex and tested on IBMQ computers, and experimented on the Qibo framework.
