Research stay in the INSA Lyon

La Salle Acoustics has visited the Laboratoire Vibrations Acoustique (LVA) of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon).

The PhD candidate Àngels Aragonès has carried out a three months stay in the LVA, from May to July 2014. This collaboration has been possible thanks to the invitation of Dr. Laurent Maxit, assistant professor and researcher in the LVA.

One of the research lines of La Salle acoustics is the application of graph theory to obtain energy transmission paths in vibroacoustic systems. The joint work with the LVA consisted in applying graph theory to Statistical modal Energy distribution Analysis (SmEdA) models.

Àngels Aragonès holds a pre-doctoral FI grant from the Generalitat de Catalunya (SUR/ECO) No. 2014FI B2 00141. The stay was funded by the Centre Lyonnais d’Acoustique (CeLyA).
