The system would consist of six-propeller hexagonal drones, which would be able to fly autonomously and deliver packages weighing up to 2.3 kg. Amazon is currently working on several types of delivery drones, including an eight-propeller hexagonal drone with a range of 24 km and a delivery speed of 112 km/h (70 mph). The drone is capable of detecting and avoiding obstacles and has an automatic landing system.
However, there are still several technical and regulatory challenges to be overcome before this project becomes a reality.
