What it Makes and International Degree?

La Salle Business Administration Degree combines Multicultural Management and Diversity into One Course on Cultural Competence, the La Salle United Nations Model.

Despite difficult economic circumstances, La Salle with more than 35 different nationalities from Morocco, Russia, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, United States, France, Spain, Ireland, Panamá, Colombia, to Zambia… differentiates their education service offerings by exploring an understanding of culturally competence values and providing a better learning experience.  With more than six years of experience, La Salle Domestic and International Students learn and develop together the multicultural skills needed in a globally competitive business world.

For today’s managers, cultural self-awareness, cultural consciousness, and multicultural leadership are skills identified as crucial, unified courses covering both domestic and international diversity built around cultural intelligence concept effectively develops skills  as cognitive (using the head), motivation (using the heart), and body (using body language).

La Salle Model United Nations Course aims to teach the young leaders of tomorrow more about the international relations system by giving hands-on experience by way of preparation for one of the world’s leading Model United Nations Conferences held each year in New York City. La Salle Model United Nations Society has been active since 2005 on the incentive of the students wanting to gain more experience in the field of International Relations. Since then, La Salle Model United Nations Society has participated in five conferences representing countries and organizations such as World Bank, Burundi, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Malaysia, Bahrain. In its very young history, La Salle Model United Nations has received numerous awards at the National Model United Nations. The La Salle Model United Nations Society was also a recipient 2007 Hayden Scholarships, named in honor of a former NMUN Secretary-General.

“Before I joined the La Salle Model United Nations Society, I knew that the UN had an array of unloving critics, and I was admittedly skeptical of the true possibilities of success of the organization in the long run. In fact, in my admissions essay for my first conference, I wondered, “Is there hope for an international community system?”

However, participating in the conference and being surrounded by hundreds of young people who are truly passionate about promoting peace, human rights, justice, respect and human progress, has given me that hope. I have by no means become naïve on the matter; quite on the contrary, I believe there is a long way ahead of us, and that the United Nations urgently needs to undergo reform in order to convey meaning to its undertakings. Nonetheless, the UN is currently the only forum that has achieved to voice the common denominators of world opinion— and what better platform than the understanding of our similarities in order to achieve consensus on our differences?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank BES La Salle for giving us students the opportunity of participating in something bigger than ourselves, for letting us catch a glimpse outside the warped cynicism of the business world, and for allowing us to learn and grow through this real world experience.”

We are an incredibly diverse nation we need to understand that the world is more varied, a richer version of our nation. La Salle Business Administration Degree understands that the comprehension of our students of the nuances of many cultures and adopting strategies to address multicultural richness will help to open or advance a company.
