La Salle Festival Week: Highlights.
A comprehensive round up of all the weeks activities and events from La Salle festival week.
It seems like a long time ago already, but the week started with its annual 4x4 Volleyball tournament and some table football. Despite the ominous grey clouds that lingered overhead for most of the first two days, the rain stayed away, and the students of La Salle were able to enjoy various outdoor activities at the campus. There was also a valiant attempt at a human pyramid! Tuesday saw the infamous La Salle tradition of a 24 hour five-a-side football tournament, as well as the first day of the Openbloc Catalan University Championships. Students were also able to enjoy a new event called the beer Olympics, while the international food day also returned, with a diverse selection of international cuisine from all corners of the world. Wednesday hosted a women's five-a-side football tournament, the second day of the climbing championships, and a cycling workout. The RedBull truck / DJ booth also returned, providing students with music as they enjoyed the sunshine and the days activities. A beach sports event was also organised by La Salle's Norwegian contingent, and was hosted down at Barceloneta beach. Thursday saw the finals of the Openbloc University Championships, a squash tournament, and La Salle's talent fair which hosted more than 30 companies, including the likes of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, LEITAT, and many more. The fifth and final day of La Salle festival week saw students taking part in a beer pong tournament while enjoying the sun, and a great week was rounded off with the annual gala dinner and the Sallefest Party. We hope all of our students and professors enjoyed a great week of fun and festivity during this years La Salle festival week, and we hope to see you there again in 2015!
