No plans for the weekend?

Don’t worry!

What about a comedy show?

This Friday, May 8th, two famous groups of English speaking comedians will improvise a show together; the BIG MAY MASHUP.

The comedy groups are BIG (Barcelona Improv Group) and DNAYS (Do Not Adjust Your Stage).

BIG was founded in Barcelona by two Englishmen in 2011, and since that time the group has added several members. Together they are known to delight their fans with completely improvised madness.

London based DNAYS has been performing across Europe since 2010.

The show on Friday will last for two hours and consist of three parts: The first part will be improvised by the BIG while the second part will be improvised by the DNAYS, and in the final part the two groups will join forces to improvise a show together for the first time ever.

The show will be held at Creu dels Molers 17, which is in Poble-sec. The tickets cost 8€ and can be bought here.

If you are not into comedy, you can check out the Phonos exhibition, “40 years of electronic music in Barcelona.”

The exhibition is  set up as a celebration of Phonos’s 40th anniversary. Phonos is a music laboratory that opened in 1974. Soon after opening, the lab became a pioneering space for experimentation, composition and dissemination of electroacoustic music. During the last 40 years Phonos has played a big role in the writing of electronic music history in Barcelona. The exhibition will show this history by exposing the instruments that has been invented and used in the lab, both old and current instruments will be displayed for visitors to see and hear.

This exposition will be open every day except Mondays, until late September. It takes place in Museu de la Música, which is in Lepant 150. The entrance fee is 5€.
