Creations, ODS, Robots and STEAM Education in the final works of the subject 4.2 of the Master of Teacher Training

Barcelona, 12th February 2021

Making rigorous, fun, interactive, creative final works in the format of a scientific-technological fair was a milestone, and successfully achieved in the last session of subject 4.2. Subject 4.2 of the Master's Degree in Secondary Technology Teacher Training (check for more information here: https://www.blanquerna.edu/ca/master-universitari-professorat-educacio-secundaria) taught between La Salle Campus Barcelona (URL) and Blanquerna (URL), called "Complementary and advanced curricular contents", focuses on Educational Robotics, with a important focus on the vision of technology learning in a creative, holistic and social way.

Seeing the synthesis of the subject materialized in a successful final work never ceases to amaze the teachers positively. The final works more than reached the initially planned standards and the students showed a high interest in educational technology projects. After 8 sessions of 3 hours of introduction to tools such as Scratch, Lego Mindstorms, Arduino and Micro: bit, students designed and implemented teaching units deepening with one of the random tools, with a random heterogeneous group , with a school of socio-economic context and Sustainable Development Goal also at random. The presentations avoided the format of the presentation made in other years and a greater interconnection between students was sought, presenting the works as if it were a scientific-technological fair.

As teachers, we feel full satisfaction and deep confidence in a future high school teacher.
