In January, specifically on the 10th, GRETEL member Emiliano Justo Labrador Ruiz de la Hermosa defended his Doctoral Thesis.
The dissertation, entitled "Sistemas gamificados mejorados a través de técnicas de experiencia de usuario", that aimed to discover the optimal process of designing a methodology for creating gamified systems, uses the Multiple Case Study as a research methodology. .
During the dissertation, the Fun Experience Design (FED) methodology was developed for user-centered gamification design where the Multiple Case Study methodology was present in both the development and validation of this new methodology. .
The results of both cases have shown that UX techniques improve performance in gamified systems and a methodology based on UX techniques has been developed. These findings open new lines of experimentation that can lead to major breakthroughs in the field.
