First ATP CENTER in Spain - The new accreditation awarded by PMI to La Salle URL

PMI (Project Management Institute) accreditations are the most recognized certifications in the project management profession worldwide. They endorse the knowledge and skills that every project manager needs to meet the demands of organizations.

The Project Management Institute also awards ATP (Authorized training partner) certifications to those educational centers that it recognizes as collaborators. These accreditations replace the well-known REPs (Registered Education Providers) and serve to authenticate those centers specialized in teaching project management.

Now La Salle URL has been recognized by the PMI as an ATP center, being the only university in Spain with a double accreditation: GAC (Global Accreditation Center) and ATP.

In our post, we talk about the new ATP certification, and the most important features that the PMI gives it.

PMI Certifications:

PMI certifications cover all aspects and qualities that project management needs. Certifications have been created by management professionals, and validate their level of experience, equipping them for their professional future.

What are the most requested certifications by professionals?

  • CAPM: applying essential knowledge, processes and terminology through PDUs (personal development units). This certification applies to less experienced professionals seeking to expand their knowledge in project management and develop increasing levels of competency.

  • PMP: The ultimate accreditation that prepares you to acquire skills, lead teams and execute high-level projects. This qualification requires 3 years or more of experience leading projects.

  • PgMP: Recognizing advanced experience, strategies, objectives and management techniques is the basis of the Program Manager Professional accreditation. You will need 8+ years of experience managing high-level projects.

PMI offers certifications that range depending on the experience you have in project management. You will be able to access all certifications, realizing advancement and progress in management needs.

ATP Certification:

The latest and newest accreditation released by PMI grants greater recognition to authorized training centers. The ATP (Authorized training partner) certification makes the center a PMI partner, empowering and providing visibility in project management training.

What are the characteristics that distinguish an ATP center? - Objectives of an ATP center

  • Provide new educational opportunities

  • To support the professional development of PMI certification degrees

  • To set appropriate criteria for PMI and its provider centers for quality education

  • To offer a registry of current courses related to the management and quality of projects, programs and portfolios aligned with the PMI Talent Triangle.

Benefits

The benefits that an authorized center presents are highly related to competitive advantage. La Salle URL, a new ATP center, offers support and access to training content to drive better teaching focused on project management and supported by the largest faculty of Project Management professors among business schools in Spain.
