La Salle Technova performs the “III Challenge Tenerife 2030” idealized by INtech Tenerife

The III Challenge Tenerife 2030 was open on February 7th by INtech Tenerife and the Council of Education of Canarian Government at the Magma Arte & Congresos (Adeje) and was attended by a nearby thousand students from 15 public schools.

The aim of the III Challenge Tenerife was to provide solutions for 16 challenges for Sustainable Developments Goals from the United Nation as end of poverty, zero hunger, health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and non-polluting energy, decent work and economic growth, industry-innovation-infrastructure, reduction of inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible production and consumption, action by climate, submarine life, life of terrestrial ecosystems and peace, justice and solid institutions.

La Salle Technova Barcelona teaches the students how to provide solutions to these 16 social problems in the territory applying an innovative methodology through the Candy Innovation Model.

The event was attended by the president of the Cabildo, Carlos Alonso; the adviser of the area Tenerife 2030, Antonio García Marichal; the general director of Planning, Innovation and Educational Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands, Jonathan Martín, and the president of La Salle Technova Barcelona, Josep Miquel Piqué.

The participating teams are awarded and recognized with the best projects developed under the proposed methodology.
