Robotics and computational thinking formation for early childhood teachers of Catalonia

On October 4th and 5th, a training on robotics and computational thinking was given to 16 early childhood teachers from different schools of La Salle from Catalonia.

This training has been carried out by Selene Caro and Roger Olivella from La Salle Campus Barcelona, with Xavi Canaleta as coordinator and member of the NCA ARLEP team.

Activities have been carried out within the framework of the NCA (New Learning Context) of La Salle that is being implemented in all schools throughout Spain over the years 2020-24.
The NCA is a new innovative educational system made in the Lasallian spirit, with its own pedagogical principles.

In the early childhood education stage, training has focused on learning unplugged Computational Thinking tools, Code.org, LightBot Jr and Scratch Jr.

The materials that have been developed from La Salle Campus - Universitat Ramon Llull for the entire ARLEP district of La Salle, correspond to the contents of computational thinking and robotics, from early childhood education, to secondary, through primary.
