Visita a la Sagrada Família de Antoni Gaudí!

Hello everybody! From the international office of La Salle, we are pleased to present this activity for international students (and also national) of La Salle Campus Barcelona (ADE, Enginyeria i Arquitectura). These activities that we are going to present throughout the year have been organized by the international area of the Architecture department, and have a common denominator: the sum of knowledge, history of the City & entertainment. We will offer a different perspective of the city and its circumstances in order to enrich your international experience in Barcelona. The activity focuses on the Sagrada Família. This building is one of the masterpieces of the brilliant architect Antoni Gaudí. The building is in the centre of Barcelona, and over the years it has become one of the most universal signs of identity of the city and the country. It is visited by millions of people every year and many more study its architectural and religious content. It has always been an expiatory church, which means that since the outset, 132 years ago now, it has been built from donations. Gaudí himself said: "The expiatory church of La Sagrada Família is made by the people and is mirrored in them. It is a work that is in the hands of God and the will of the people." The building is still going on and could be finished some time in the first third of the 21st century. The activity will consist of a guided tour offered by professional Architects, who will help you to learn more about the building and to know some of the history that envolves the construction of the temple. This activity is going to be on the 21st of February, and we will meet at Plaça de la Sagrada Família, in front of the building at 15:30h. The activity is FOR FREE. You just have to go with Tallulah Forrest at the International Relations Office at Edificio Sant Joan de La Salle. She will add your names to the list. Hasta pronto!  

Hola a todos! Desde el departamento internacional de La Salle, os presentamos la primera actividad del año 2014 para estudiantes extranjeros y nacionales de La Salle, ADE, Ingeniería y Arquitectura. Las actividades que presentaremos a lo largo del año tendrán como común denominador, la suma de Conocimiento, Ciudad y Ocio. Buscamos ofrecer una perspectiva distinta de la ciudad y su circunstancia, para enriquecer vuestra experiencia internacional en Barcelona y La Salle. Esta actividad se centra en La Sagrada família. Este edificio es una de las obras maestras del brillante arquitecto Antoni Gaudí. Está situado en el centro de Barcelona, y a lo largo de los años se ha convertido en uno de los signos más importantes de identidad de la ciudad y de Catalunya. Es visitado por millones de personas cada año y aún muchos más estudian su arquitectura y su contenido religioso. Siempre ha sido un templo expiatorio, lo que significa que desde sus comienzos, hace 132 años, su construcción ha sido financiada a través de donaciones. Gaudí en persona dijo: “ El templo expiatorio de la Sagrada família está hecho por la gente y se mira en ellos. Es una obra en manos de Dios y la voluntad de un pueblo.”  El edificio está aún en construcción y se estima su finalización alrededor del año 2026. La actividad constará de un Tour guiado por Arquitectos con el objetivo de conocer mejor la obra y de saber algunas historias que rodean a la contrucción del templo. Esta actividad será el próximo 21 de Febrero, y nos encontraremos en la Plaça de la Sagrada Família, justo enfrente del edificio a las 15:30h. La actividad es GRATIS. Sólo tenéis que ir a la oficina de Relaciones Internacionales con Tallulah Forrest en el edificio Sant Joan de La Salle. Ella os apuntará en la lista! Hasta pronto!
