BALLCELONETA

  Poster Barceloneta

From the international office of La Salle, we are pleased to present this activity for international students of La Salle Campus Barcelona. These activities that we are going to present throughout the year have been organized by the international area of the Architecture department, and have a common denominator: the sum of knowledgehistory of the City entertainment. We will offer a different perspective of the city and its circumstances in order to enrich your international experience in Barcelona.
This first activity focuses on the Barceloneta. This area belongs to the district of Ciutat Vella , built during the eighteenth century. It was designed in 1719, for the people who had lost their homes in the "Ribera" neighborhood. The Marina district was demolished under the rule of king Felipe V, and in its place was built the Ciutadella. Barceloneta's population in 2008 was 22,428 habitants.
The activity will consist of a guided tour offered by professional Architects, who will help you to learn more about the area and see some of the most important buildings. After this, we will enjoy a Salsa lesson (Latin dance) at the "Centre cívic" of the Barceloneta (building by the architect Josep Rosello) with the intention of creating a friendly atmosphere. And finally , we will go to the Habana Barcelona Club, a Latin dance club.

This activity is going to be on the 1st of December, and we will meet at the Maremagnum's building (Port Vell) at 16.30h.

Let's discover the Barceloneta, and also enjoy with the art of dancing Salsa!

The price x pers. for the activity is 10€. You can pay it in the CeCad, in the Architecture's building of LaSalle, where Víctor Ferrer has his office. There you can find Víctor or David Simón, who can receive this money. Also you can contact me, by email or phone (+34 6789 135 89 - Mario), and we can meet at the University and pay it to me.
