100tífiques celebrates its third edition coinciding with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

“100tífiques” is an initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute for Science and Technology (BIST), in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This year has participated 500 schools and 400 scientific women.

In this third edition (11th February) the lecturer and researcher Dr. Miriam Calvo (investigator of the DS4DS), has participated in #100tífiques an inicitaive to motivate girls and boys of 6th grade of the Polinyà School to be interested in Research. Her talk was based on her trajectory in the LHCb experiment at CERN, devoted to particle physics#WomenInScience

With this action want:

  • Encourage the promotion of scientific and / or entrepreneurial vocations among girls.
  • Promote the connection and interaction of scientists and citizens, structuring two-way actions.
  • Promote links and collaborative dynamics between scientists in the public and private systems; and also with senior business executives and prescribers of public policies.
