Group Meditation: How to Reduce Stress, Anxiety, and Fatigue at Work.
La Salle’s fourth year business students took part in a group meditation session to find out how to reduce stress levels and anxiety for a healthier mind and body. Meditation is a Buddhist technique that allows you to reduce your mental activity to reach a deeper state of relaxation, self-awareness, and ultimately a pure state of consciousness. Fourth year students on the BA program were privileged enough to be able to partake in a group meditation session in order to find out how to reach a silent and peaceful state of mind as part of their Business Communications class, taught by professor Jean Philippe. With the role-mats out, the candles lit, and the incense burning, the students quickly fell into a state of deep relaxation in a quest for inner peace and tranquility. Students were instructed to use various meditation techniques that can be used to calm the mind and body. The fourth year students were grateful for some relaxation time after laboring over their final thesis. The class finished the session with some intimate stretching exercises.
