Help those suffering in Nepal!
The 25th of April Nepal was struck by an earthquake, killing over 8,000 people and leaving more than 19,000 injured. This week, the 12th of May, a major aftershock killed nearly 100 people and wounded more than 2,000. Today, a large amount of people are still considered to missing.
The country is left in a state of panic; many are left without a place to live and without necessary supplies such as clean water and medicines. Many organisations and nations have made donations and provided humanitarian aid, and La Salle’s Social Club has come up with a great initiative so that we at La Salle can contribute as well! They Social Club is throwing a fundraising breakfast that will take place Tuesday next week, the 19th of May.
Various types of breakfast-style-food will be sold on campus, in every break throughout the day and we hope you will help them in their effort to provide aid! They need volunteers to make/bake food to be sold. A couple of the professors have already confirmed that they will prepare and bring some food, but the more people helping out - the more funds can be raised!
Therefore, the social club hopes that some of YOU will help them by preparing something that can be sold during the fundraising breakfast.
If you are interested, please send them a message through their Facebook page. If you don’t have time to help them with the food preparation, you should at least make sure to bring both your generosity and an empty stomach on Tuesday morning.
All the money raised will directly be donated to aid Nepal.
