Summer Time

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to apologize for not keeping you updated the last few weeks. Exams were on all of our minds but now the summer is here and time to play! We finished the year off great with an organized beach event; Playando. The students from Sports Event Management class spent the semester organizing and planning out the final summer event for La Salle and other International Universities in Barcelona. What a success!! We played football and volleyball matches with both girls and boys teams and hung out in the sun. The day ended with cava being sprayed and another day of great memories. A big applause for the Sports Event Management class for making it happen. They did a great job getting San Miguel beer to sponsor the event and getting everyone involved.                Summer time in Barcelona is definitely exciting, there are so many things happening. The concerts, beach parties, San Juan (which everyone has to experience while living in Barcelona) and good times that keep rolling. If you have the chance to stay a little longer in Barcelona do so and enjoy the summer while you can. The beaches are packed with locals and tourists alike. The Chirungitos pump up the volume throughout the day and whatever you could possibly want is available at the beach ranging from massages to coconuts to cold beers. Oh how I love summers in Barcelona!               I would like to congratulate the Class of 2009! Graduation is around the corner, on July 9th!! Good luck to you all!
